Tyler’s Main Street Director was selected as ETX View’s 40 under forty award in the City Officials Category. Amber also celebrated her 10 year anniversary with the City of Tyler in 2021!
2019 Awards/Accomplishments
Tyler’s Main Street Director was selected to appear on the Main Street America’s postcard to help promote their new #WeAreMainStreet campaign.
2017 Anice B. Read Award of Excellence in Community Heritage Development
Awarded by Texas Historical Commission.
Named in honor of Anice Read, former Texas Historical Commission member and founder of the Texas Main Street Program, this award recognizes an individual or organization for exemplary work in community revitalization, preservation planning and protection, or heritage tourism which significantly advances the impacts of historic preservation in Texas.
National Main Street ACCREDITATION
Tyler was designated as a certified Main Street City in 1990 and the accreditation program started in 1999. Tyler has achieved accredited status 18 out of the 22 years and currently going strong with 8 consecutive years.
